Smackdown had so much potential after invading Raw the previous night. Now, don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t a bad show, but it was very mediocre. With little over 3 weeks until Survivor Series I expect things to heat up in the coming weeks.

The Good

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

The hottest new team on the block and the new number one contenders for the Smackdown live tag team titles. Beating New Day duo Kofi and Woods on Tuesday night in a great match. Gable and Benjamin showed great teamwork throughout and to finish the match. The title match will more than likely not be until after Survivor Series I for one cannot wait to see this dynamic duo face off against the Usos.

Orton vs Zayn

If you haven’t seen this match yet, I highly recommend you do. This bout was well worthy of its main event status. High impact moves from the beginning including Zayn moonsaulting off the barrier, Orton superplexing Sami from the top rope and Zayn with his trademark DDP through the ropes on the outside. Owens tried to interfere and help his friend, Orton then used Owens distracting the referee to his advantage. Hitting Zayn with a low blow to pick up the win.

Glorious news

Looks like I’ve got my wish and next weeks 2 out of 3 falls sets up for the end to Ziggler and Roode. Let’s hope Roode finally gets the push he fully deserves.

The Bad

Underseige

All that on Raw the night before, for what? No retaliation. I waited to see the Red of Raw appear from the crowd for what could be a great angle to enter Survivor Series with. Survivor Series is my favorite PPV of the year after Mania and I just hope they don’t screw it up with lack of consistency while building this feud between both brands.

Woman’s division

I have a feeling Smackdowns Woman’s division is subject to a bashing each week from myself. Same old same old again this week, a fatal 5 way which is a carbon copy of most weeks ended with Becky picking up the win to captain the Blue brands woman’s team at survivor series. The match itself was fine, action-packed but felt very rushed. I’m dreading what the next 3 weeks hold for the division as we build up to survivor series.

As for the rest of the show…well, what do you think? and do you have any comments on the points I have raised? if so, let me know in the comments below, or follow me on Twitter here. And I’ll catch you all next week.
